Doing my bit for charity

I like to do my bit for charity, so recently I designed a six page leaflet for Warwickshire Freewheelers Blood Bikes pro-bono. They provide a free out of hours transport service for blood to NHS hospitals in and around Warwickshire, and are entirely run by volunteers. The leaflet is designed to recruit riders and to enlist financial support to keep this vital service on the road.

As well as being rewarded with a nice warm glow inside, they will be posting my logo and link on their website. They also sent me this lovely letter of thanks:

I am writing to say how much we appreciate all the time and effort you have spent on helping the Warwickshire Freewheelers with our eye-catching new leaftet. It’s universally liked by all the members, and is such an improvement on our original one.

We are very grateful also that you have provided your expertise for free; I’m sure Steve has told you that we have to raise all our own funds, and help like this is fantastic.

Thank you very much for your help, and if anyone asks where our fabulous new leaflets came from, I shall be there with your details.

Kind regards
Hilary Young
